February 14 - Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day! (And Justin's birthday. He's 14!)

Here's the Valentine's Festivus Tree. It really needs more ornaments, but there's always next year. I got behind in ordering them and thought I had enough, but not so. Oh, well. It's almost time to do St. Patrick's Day, anyhow.

The pictures aren't so great because I just haven't figured out how to take pictures of semi-lit stuff.

February 13 - I Stalked a Deer and I Liked It....

Someday, I won't be such a loser and will be able to take pictures of things other than deer. In the meantime, enjoy. :)

This time, I got ballsy enough to go outside with them.

This one looks like it's stalking me.

And if you're bored of seeing deer, here's a picture I took the night before last when we drove over by the lake to have dinner. Our 5-year plan is to get a house on the lake. I don't know what the economy's 5-year plan is, though.

February 12 - Zzzzzzz....

I spent most of the day here, thanks to a headache and the nausea that accompanied it. (I think taking Aleve on an empty stomach was a no-no, though.)

February 11 - Nature's, Like, Cool and Stuff

I swear, I will never get tired of seeing deer in the yard. We had 8 of them today. Even the neighbor slowed down to look at them! Lol!

Two of them wandered off, so there's only 6 here.

Lunch time!

Hey, you two get a room!

February 10 - That's Hot

It's February. It's NE Indiana. It's 63 degrees. What the...??

And yes, that is some ugly wallpaper. Someday it'll come down... (sigh)...

February 9 - Impossumable!

This little fella has been nosing around the yard for quite some time. (The picture's a little blurry. It's the only one I got before he ducked under the shed. He's in front of the trash can.)

I think he's wondering if it's Spring, with all the warm weather we've had the last couple days.

February 8 - Eggciting!

Mayah was assigned a science project to complete over the weekend - designing an egg protector. (You know, the thing
where you try to cushion the egg really well, drop it and hope it doesn't break.)

Here she is dropping it from a step-stool. Didn't break!

February 7 - Gold Medals and Boats

Today, Coobie and Taylor both had band competitions. All the band students from the regional schools gathered at Coobie's school and were judged either in solo and/ or ensemble performances. Since Coobie's only in 6th grade, he could only do a solo. A CD of accompaniment music was supposed to be in the CD player, but it wasn't, so he had to do his all alone. He got a gold, anyway. :) Taylor also got gold medals for her solo and ensemble performances. I didn't get any pictures of anything because it wasn't really a photo op. They were really strict about noise, etc.

After that, we went to the boat show at the Memorial Coliseum down in Ft. Wayne. I'd never been in there. It was pretty neat.
